Great Website Security Trends 2024

In today’s digital work, there are many threats and ways to attack your data, but luckily there are also many ways to defend against these attacks. One way is Website Security. “Website security refers to the protection of personal and organizational public-facing websites from cyberattacks.” The purpose of this blog is to better enhance your brain to know what website security trends are in 2025 and to fully understand them to avoid them. Some of the major trends I will discuss are Mobile attacks, the Potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Attacks, Data Breaches, and Automotive hacking.

Mobile Security

As more mobiles are being created, it leads to more people being victims of malicious attacks. A way to prevent this is by practicing mobile securities. Mobile Security is to guard your mobile such as phones, tablets, and iPods from unauthorized access and harmful activities. The significance of mobile security has lowered the amount of identity theft and cyber threats. An example of a mobile attack would be spam and phishing. Ways to stop is by strong authentication, updating software, security apps, and backup data.

The Potential of AI Attacks

Well, it’s true, that the improvement of AI has helped us advance a lot, but it has also proved to be a threat. The AI can be programmed to know how to bypass security and steal data. Cystel from LinkedIn claims, “Cybercriminals could leverage these tools to launch more sophisticated and automated attacks, making them harder to detect and counter.” This supports my statement that the improvement of AI also brings greater threat in the digital world. Ways of attacking is by Automate Cyber Attacks, Deepfakes, Targeted Attacks, and Adversarial Machine Learning. Ways to prevent this are by implementing access Control, ethical AI practices, a Response plan, and monitoring and detecting anomalies.

Data Breaches

Before I talk about how to guard against Data breaches.”What is a data breach?” A data breach typically happens when a person without permission from the owner gains access to personal information. Data breaches can occur in many ways, such as hacking, physical theft, phishing, DDoS attacks, stolen information, and password guessing. The impact of this could lead to financial loss, identity theft, and affect reputation.

Automotive Hackings

As more cars are being connected to the internet such as Tesla. Which enables your car to have more features that can be controlled from a screen rather than being more physical. This also makes your vehicle more vulnerable to being attacked by Black Hat hackers. Also increasing the chance of falling victim to automotive hacking– Automotive hacking is unauthorized access to your vehicle through the car system-. Ways of attacking are exploitation, keyless entry, or diagnostic ports. Ways to prevent it are by up-to-date software, password protection, installing firewalls, and close relationship with the manufacturer.

Conclusion

In conclusion, the website security trend in 2024 is to guard yourself against mobile attacks, AI attacks, automotive hacking, and data breaches. There are different ways an attacker can use to cause harm to users and steal confidential information. In the blog, I went over the ways they use to attack and how to protect yourself from the unsuspecting attack.
