Description: This blog is a reflection on how great and impactful this year has been to me. This blog aims to show all the challenges I’ve encountered in my sophomore year and how much I’ve grown as a web developer and person.
The Improvements

At first, I was a bit nervous because the old instructor had left and we would have a new teacher, but everything changed as the school year went on. Our instructor, Mr.Choate has been an amazing guide in leading us to success in the Web Industry. I’ve drastically improved not only in making websites but also in bringing them to life. Learning WordPress has had the greatest impact on everything. My hand and fingers are forever grateful to WordPress for saving me a lot of coding. I’ve been able to make a quick, beautiful, and responsive website with ease. You can see an example of this in the next section.
The Best Sophomore Project
In Web Design and Development, 90% of the time we do projects with or without friends. Most of these projects help us learn something new or improve something. They are usually a lot of fun and beneficial to our progression—one of my favorites is a non-profit website I made with the help of two of my friends. The website is live and is called “Endangered Echoes“, it is a non-profit gala about raising awareness about bats.

Right here is an image of the homepage of the site. I highly recommend checking the website out! We spent about 1-2 weeks working on it, which turned out great. I love this project and it is one of my best works and it will only keep getting better from now.
The Challenges

My sophomore year had many challenges, like making friends, creating websites, using WordPress/elementor, etc. Out of all of these, some of my biggest challenges were definitely learning new programming languages. Some languages that I played around with this year were JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL. I still need some improvement in these languages so I can understand more and utilize them to advance my skills further.
The Future
I’ve set my goal in pursuing my career in this field of education as becoming the best web developer. I want to please my clients by making them a website that they are proud of. This Sophomore year has affected me heavily and positively as a web developer and as a person. I have further enhanced my understanding of working with computers and others.
I’ve had a lot of fun, especially by being with my colleagues. They help me relieve all my stress during my work and help me with my problems. Without them and my teacher, I wouldn’t have been able to grow this much. From the bottom of my heart, I thank everyone and the few users who read my blogs.
The End

Last but not least, this is the conclusion. This is the most fun I’ve ever had in any school year. I’ve made tons of great friends who support me in every decision I make. I’ve found a great instructor, Mr.Choate, whose path I will follow in being a great web developer to give people the website they want. I’ve faced a lot of challenges this year, but none of them I couldn’t overcome. Not only did these challenges create problems for me, but also created opportunities to enhance my knowledge. In the end, I grew.
Note: This is my last blog for now. I will be taking a break over the summer and I hope you guys have a great summer. Farewell!
